Hi there, I'm Sofia
I'm a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat living in Rome, Italy.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn’t in the original plan. Like many relocation stories, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something much more.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday chores felt tougher than expected.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, uncertainty, and hands-on learning were common. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Selnix Umaqav Itivjo R
Most online resources were either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a genuine, day-to-day family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that divide — actionable advice drawn from real-life experiences in Italy.
What This Site Covers (And Doesn't)
This site is:
- Practical knowledge from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site is not:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- A standard travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in Italy goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Sofia
